Over the last few years, dental technology has quickly advanced to make treatment more comfortable and more effective than ever before. Our Dental Solutions team works hard to stay up to date on the latest procedures and technological advances so we can better serve our patients. Today, we want to focus on three examples of advanced dental technology our team uses every day. galileos 3 d imaging machine

Digital X-rays Give Us the Full Picture

We are lucky enough to have the GALILEOS 3D X-ray system in our office to help us build a comprehensive picture of our patient’s mouths. This system operates using a digital X-ray scanner that rotates around our patient’s head. The resulting 2D, 3D, and panoramic images assist us in diagnosing and treating all sorts of issues.

Intraoral Cameras Provide New Information

Our team can use intraoral cameras to give you a live view of your mouth and any potential issues. The images we receive from intraoral cameras help us to an up-close view of your teeth and allows us to detect any problems in their very early stages. We can also show you the problem areas in your mouth that may need extra attention when brushing and flossing your teeth.

Innovative Mouthpieces Treat Headaches

Cavities and tooth decay are not the only side effects of oral health issues that we treat in our office. In fact, our team can use new technology to treat tension headaches that result from clenching and grinding teeth while asleep. This mouthpiece, known as a nocturnal trigeminal nociception inhibitor, keeps your molars from touching while you sleep to treat tension headaches before they happen. The three examples above are just a small sampling of the technological advances our team uses to care for our patient’s oral health.
