Are you currently suffering from chronic tooth pain and sensitivity? You may be in need of root canal therapy. While root canals have a false reputation of being painful, they are actually a common, stress-free procedure. During a root canal, we remove the infected pulp which often relieves your tooth pain almost instantly!

Common Signs of Pulp Infections

In addition to persistent toothaches, here are some common signs of pulp infections. If you are currently experiencing any of the following symptoms, we strongly recommend that you schedule a consultation with one of our knowledgeable dentists to see if you’re in need of root canal therapy.

  • Discharge From Gums
  • Pain When Chewing
  • Swollen Gums
  • Tooth Discoloration

The Root Canal Process

You shouldn’t have to live with a chronic toothache. In fact, leaving the infection can actually lead to a necessary extraction down the road. With root canal therapy, our goal is to alleviate tooth pain and save your natural tooth!

Before we begin your root canal, we’ll thoroughly numb the area around the infected tooth. We also offer a variety of sedation options that we will discuss with you at your consultation. Our goal is for your procedure to be as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Once your anesthetic and sedation are administered, we will create a small hole in the crown of your tooth. Through this hole, we will pull out the infected pulp and disinfect the inside of your tooth. After your tooth’s canals are clean, we seal the hole and put a crown over the tooth for additional protection.
